Samuel Terzungwe Akaa PhD

Akaa is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Administrator, Management Consultant, SeasonedBanker, Professional Manager and a Certified Teacher. He attended the Bayero University Kano for his Bachelor of Science Honors Degree (B.Sc.) in Accounting in 1998; the Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University Makurdi for Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Accounting. The quest for more knowledge and a deeper understanding of people and workplace management took him to the Enugu State University of Science &Technology-Enugu for Master of Science(M.Sc.) in Human Resource Management. He later attended the National Open University of Nigeria-Lagos for his Master of Business Administration and UsmanuDanfodioUniversity-Sokoto for PostgraduateDiploma in Education (PGDE) in 2011. The desire for more knowledge and advancement in higher education took him to the JOSTUM-Nigeria where he has recently earned a PhD.

Akaa began his career @ the Kano State Polytechnic between 1998-1999 from where he joined Iyornumbe Ime & Co. (Chartered Accountants). He later joined the First Bank of Nigeria Ltd. where he worked till 2017 in various positions as Head of Banking Operations, Head of Marketing, Relationship Manager, and Business Manager Etc. He was part of the team that kickstarted the large tax management unit @ the Benue Internal Revenue Services (BIRS)-Makurdi in 2018. Over the years he has also been a resource person at the Kwararafa University Wukari in the College of Social and Management Sciences. Before his appointment as the Director of Finance and Accounts at the Benue SUBEB, he worked at the University of Calabar, Calabar-Nigeria.

Akaa, a consummate professional has attended over 30 training programs cutting across varying areas of management sciences and is widely published in reputable local and International Journals across the globe. He enjoys meeting new people and plays badminton in his leisure.
