Stephanie Nguhemen Manyam the Director Legal Services State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB ) Makurdi, Benue State was born on 23rd February, 1975 at Mkar, Gboko L. G. A. Of Benue State.

She had her First School Leaving Certificate in 1986 and her WAEC in 1993. In 1996 she graduated with a Diploma in Law certificate from University of Jos, Jos Plateau State. She has her LL. B (Hons) from Benue State University Makurdi Benue State in 2000 after which she proceeded to the Nigeria Law School Lagos campus and graduated in 2001 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in May, 2002.

Thereafter she started her National Youth Service in Gbongan in Ayedaade L. G. A of Osun State but got redeployed to Benue State upon getting married and was posted to INEC office Makurdi where she passed out in 2003.

After that she did her pupilage with the Law firm of M. T. Gusa & Co.till 2006 when she was employed as a State Counsel with Ministry of Justice Makurdi. She has served as Legal Adviser to the offices of the Head of Service Benue State, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Women Affairs, Ministry of Energy, Science and Technology and now the Director Legal Services SUBEB. She also served as a State Counsel in the Otukpo Area Chambers of the ministry of justice from 2017-2020.

She has been practicing law for 22 years as at May, 2024.

She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association Makurdi Branch and has served the branch at different times as the Treasurer, Financial Secretary and several committees the latest of which is Secretary to the Bar Foyer Completion Committee which completed the Bar Foyer and launched it on 31st July, 2024.

She also belongs to Government Girls Old Students Association Makurdi (GGOSAM) and Bristow Alumni Association and several other prayer Associations. She attends Shelter of Glory Church and is a worker there in Shelter Praise and Radiance. She's the convener of the Lois Praying Mother's Makurdi.

She is hardworking, dedicated to duty and diligent in her duties as a Lawyer and Legal Officer in every capacity and at every point in time.

She is married to Pharm. Peter Manyam and blessed with 3 children.
